Sooo...Balticon 40, the year and I turn 40. Pretty funky.

After endless preparation to make everything work out, I am now jobless until next year.

All the feedback suggests that B40 succeeded with great acclaim. No better con had most attended and certainly not I. Of course problems arose, but I think most were because people were tired and stressed. I just ask one thing, "Can't we all just get along?"

I was fully prepared to hate the Hunt Valley, but rather liked it in the end. As for the complaints of walking, well, I take every opportunity to exercise.

As for my role and my part in B40, I was happy to be able to meet so many new people as well share some time with various guests of honor. Rosemary Wolfe is such a sweet person and I'm honored to have had the opportunity to meet her. I didn't know of Gene Wolfe prior to his being chosen as GoH, but he is absolutely charming and witty! He got one of my tongue and cheeck comments that appeared to elude the others. And I enjoyed Neil's anecdotes to and from the airport. Malena, despite being sick, was as sweet and lovly as I figured her to be. Lorraine plays a mean violin! What talent!! But I must say that meeting Lisa was, for me, the high light of the B40. We've been communicating for a couple years now and finally have met face to face. I have to help convince her to move closer.

Yep! and I sure threw a wonderful party! She has now given me two titles! The first is Chief Package Inspector and the newest is Cruise Director.

It's all over now. I look forward to next year.
